Parinde is primarily a queer society run by members of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies. We aim to foster a sense of community on campus among members of the community as well as spread awareness regarding the nuances of the same while tackling issues of stereotypes, lack of inclusivity and intolerance often faced by queer individuals. Grounded in the Constitutional principles of equality and liberty, our primary aim at Parinde is to make the campus a queer folk friendly safe space wherein all individuals are treated equitably and provided with equal opportunities. With committees such as Events & Cultural Engagement, Outreach & Collaborations, Research & Editorial and Health & Wellness, we further our goals at creating a sense of unity among the students at OP Jindal Global University and celebrating the pride that comes with being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. We encourage and cultivate the idea that regardless of the plethora of sexual orientations, gender identities and romantic identities found across the spectrum, we are after all one people.
