Biography

Ram B. Ramachandran is a Professor and Vice Dean at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance, O.P. Jindal Global University. He is also the Chair of the Centre for Digital Learning (CDL) at JSBF.  Prof. Ramachandran teaches in the areas of emerging technologies like FinTech/Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence, management, leadership, and entrepreneurship. His current research interest includes transformative nature of AI and FinTech across industries, government policies on education, and impact of EdTech in educational pedagogy.  Ram is an accomplished hands-on senior executive with over thirty-five year’s track record of building and leading global consulting practices and high-growth businesses across the financial services and retail industries. Most recently, he was the Managing Director at Ernst & Young, New York responsible for driving Data & Analytics, Robotics Process Automation, and IoT solutions for his clients.  His articles have been published in reputed International and Indian industry magazines. He is on the editorial board on three journals – Journal of Business Analytics and Data Visualization, Journal of Internet Banking and Risk Management, and Journal of Micro and Small Business Management. His Co-edited "Handbook of Global Philosophies of AI Ethics: Towards Sustainable Future" was published by Routledge in August, 2025. He holds a Ph.D. Strategic Technology Management from Franklin-Hudson The International school of Management, Paris, an MBA from Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York, Bachelor of Engineering from University of Madras, and certificate in FinTech from MIT.  Prof. Ram holds an additional responsibility at the University as an Associate Director at the Motwani Jadeja Institute for American Studies (MJIAS). He is focused on promoting and driving discussions between the US and India scholars and policy makers in the areas of Deep Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Supply Chain Resilience.
