Dr. Sahana V Rajan is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Associate Dean (Dean’s Office) at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), O.P. Jindal Global University. Her academic journey began at St. Stephen’s College (University of Delhi), where she earned her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. She further honed her expertise with an MPhil. and a doctoral degree in Philosophy from the University of Delhi.
Dr. Rajan's research is situated in the domain of care ethics within higher education, specifically focusing on the undervaluation of faculty service, which she conceptualises as academic carework. She is passionate about developing decision-making frameworks for faculty administrators, enabling them to navigate complex dilemmas through a care-centric lens.
With over three years of teaching experience, Dr. Rajan has designed, delivered and assessmd learning experience of more than 700 students across diverse batches at JGBS. A strong advocate for industry-relevant management education, she seamlessly integrates practical philosophical insights, particularly in areas like leadership and ethics, into her curriculum. Her learner-centred pedagogy enables an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
Beyond her commitment to research and teaching, Dr. Rajan actively participates in various national and international academic initiatives that underscore the significance of community engagement in academia. She is the Associate Director of the Centre of Neurodiversity Studies at JGU and, as an autistic teacher, champions projects aimed at creating neurodiversity-inclusive classrooms. Furthermore, she is a Fellow at the Jindal India Institute, contributing to projects that amplify Indian philosophical perspectives, and a Fellow at the International Institute of Higher Education and Development (IIHED).
