The office of alumni relations aims to build an active and engaged alumni community by providing opportunities to connect with each other and with the college. We also maintain alumni records, support alumni groups, organize events, helps alumni to setup and use their connects for their benefits and for the benefit of the university. The team have also introduced various programmes at different platform to build strong connect of current students with the alumni.

Almaconnect Portal is an official networking platform where you can get in touch with batchmates, avail job opportunities, and get updates on the University. Currently we have 3800+ alums onboard on this platform.

The network sphere aims to build an extensive alumni directory with regular updates on alumni positions. The mentoring sphere will focus on providing job interview insights and conducting career-oriented workshops. The learning sphere will enable specialized webinars on individual expertise. Alumni chapters are launched across cities to fulfill the JGU alumni office’s vision.
A graduating batch from JGU will get to experience the grand 10-year reunion from the date of graduation. It is celebrated on the Foundation day of the University i.e. Sept 29 and the whole day is filled with different activities for the reuniting batch. Last year we celebrated the reunion of the first graduating batch of 2012.
Sports Meets are organised once a year during which alums from different states join to engage in a healthy competition in different sports and get to experience or relive their old memories on campus.
Alumni Meets are organised on a frequent basis across different cities to build connect amongst the alums, OAR has organized several alumni meets in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Kochi, Chandigarh and other international locations such as New York, London, etc.
Alumni Cards are issued and distributed to all the JGU alumni during the alumni meets. These ID cards helps the alumni in visiting the campus and reviving their old campus memories.
Alumni achievements are recognised by accepting applications from the alums through a google form and are posted on a regular basis across our social media platforms to celebrate their milestones.
Dipti Srivasta
Principal Associate Designate at Citadel Law Chambers
Dipti's journey from a sportsperson to a law student was transformed by JGU. She developed a passion for law and cherished her academic experience at JGLS, considering it the best years of her academic journey. The guidance from excellent faculty members, including Brajesh Ranjan, Khagesh Gautam, Ratna Kapur, Vishavjeet Chaudhary, Subramanya Sirish Tamvada, Manasi Kumar, and Arjya B. Majumdar, left a lasting impact. Presently, Dipti practices corporate law and holds the position of principal associate designate at Citadel Law Chambers. She completed her LL.M in corporate and financial law from JGLS in 2023 and has authored/co-authored several articles. Dipti was also awarded the Indian Achievers Award 2022-23.
Dr. Prajwal K Aradhya
Founder of the Centre for Legal Aid and Research
JGU played a pivotal role in shaping Dr. Prajwal's confidence and critical thinking skills. He attributes his understanding of marginalized communities to Prof. Dipika Jain, while Prof. Sameera Dalwai enlightened him about the intricate interplay between caste and gender in society. Prof. Surbhi Shukla and Prof. Sushant Chandra taught him the values of constitutionalism. After graduation, Dr. Prajwal worked at Crestlaw Partners Bangalore and pursued an LL.M in international economic law, justice, and development from Birkbeck, University of London. He now runs an NGO called the Centre for Legal Aid and Research, providing free legal aid and conducting research in relevant areas of the law.
Ashwajeet Singh
Co-founder of Sleepy Owl
Co-founder of Sleepy Owl, Ashwajeet Singh's journey started at JGU as a BA LLB (H) student at JGLS. The training he received at JGU prepared him to make Sleepy Owl a successful startup in 2016. Today, Sleepy Owl is a prominent player in the ready-to-drink cold brew coffee market, with a strong presence in over 1,000 outlets in Delhi and Mumbai. Ashwajeet's accolades include being listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 (India List and Asia List) and GQ 50 Most Influential Indians (2019) and GQ 30 Most Influential Indians (2022). He hopes to inspire other young entrepreneurs to consider startups as a viable career path.
Rupinder Kaur
Founder of the Centre for Legal Aid and Research
JGU alumnus Rupinder advises JGU students to see challenges as opportunities for growth. Her journey started at JSIA after failing the UPSC exam. With JGU's Open Society Foundation Fellowship on Rights and Governance, she worked on the political empowerment of women in Poland, resulting in a 40% increase in female representation in local councils. After spending two semesters as a visiting fellow at Indiana University, she pursued an Executive Education Program at Harvard Kennedy School. Rupinder successfully launched a mentoring programme with JSIE in India, empowering NGO leaders. Today, she runs an NGO providing free legal aid and teaches coding to girls in Delhi government schools.
Shivansh Singh Choudhary
CEO and Co-founder of Pentagons Digital
JGU alumnus Shivansh, the CEO and Co-founder of Pentagons Digital, credits JGU for instilling critical thinking and analytical skills. With guidance from faculty members and a stimulating environment, he co-manages a team of 15, building brands using digital marketing tools and platforms. Shivansh pursued a master's in international political economy from LSE and secured a funded PhD position at the University of Melbourne. Additionally, he works in financial media as the Head of Research for Net Zero Investor, focusing on climate change and financial markets.
Subrahmanyan T.D
National Head of the Strategy and Research team at IPAC
JGU provided Subrahmanyan with diverse opportunities, making him a skilled political analyst. Post-graduation, he briefly worked with a socioeconomic consulting firm in Delhi before joining IPAC, India's premier political consultancy, as an analyst. Currently, Subrahmanyan serves as the National Head of the Strategy and Research team at IPAC, leading a team of around 40 people across eight states in the country.
Franklin R. Dolo
Country Coordinator of the International Development Law Organisation (IDLO)
As the Country Coordinator of the International Development Law Organisation (IDLO), Franklin credits JGU for empowering him to embrace contrarian thinking. He appreciates the faculty, particularly Prof. Shiv Visvanathan and Prof. Ramaswamy Sudarshan, who inspired him to be objective in arguments and uphold professionalism. Franklin's accomplishments include serving as a Business Development Officer with USAID-Liberia, a consultant, and Senior Private Sector Engagement Specialist with USAID Liberia.
