Biography

Dr. Aditi Krishna received her PhD from University of London in 2021, with an interdisciplinary research project drawing from the disciplines of Sociology, Social Anthropology, and Ethnomusicology or Anthropology of Music. Dr. Aditi has presented her research papers at various national and international conferences in India, South Asia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and has published papers in renowned international journals as well. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, Cultural Sociology, Cultural Studies, Gender, Sociology of Music, Ethnomusicology, Anthropology of Music, Sounds of South Asia, South Asian performing arts, Cultural nationalism and regionalism, and Identity-politics.

In her free time, she enjoys travelling; reading, both fiction and non-fiction; exploring and listening to varied kinds of music; and spending time with family. All of this, and a cup of coffee.
