Public Access to Green Spaces

Green areas

The JGU campus is open from Monday to Friday for visitors from 11 AM to 4 PM, through scheduled guided visits. We welcome our visitors to experience the lush green campus which is an attraction to many.

The Constitution Gardens

The Constitution Academy & The Rights and Freedoms Museum building is enclosed within eight green spaces, with four additional green spaces in the North and South directions. The garden is conceptualised to symbolise India’s diversity and democratic principles through vibrant colours for unity, flowing forms for inclusiveness, varied textures for adaptability, and layered topography representing the nation’s governance structure. A thoughtful design seamlessly integrates nature and constitutional values, fostering a meaningful connection encourages visitors to not just reflect, but also feel inspired to uphold these values before entering the museum. The garden covers an area of 15,400 square feet and consists of lawns, shrubs, palms, succulents, and seasonal plants.

Guided tours for school students: JGU collaborates with schools in the local community to facilitate tours for young students, providing them an opportunity to explore our campus, including the green spaces, sports facilities, dining areas and more. We regularly host a large number of interested students and their families for campus visits. As part of these thoughtfully planned half-day long guided tours, we encourage schools in Delhi-NCR and nearby cities to bring their students to visit India’s First and Only Constitution Academy situated within the JGU campus.
