Welcome to the Jindal Global Law Review (JGLR), the esteemed faculty-edited flagship journal of the Jindal Global Law School
Since its establishment in 2009, JGLR has been dedicated to promoting scholarly discourse and advancing interdisciplinary legal research. With a focus on the Global South, JGLR publishes peer-reviewed articles that explore the diverse dimensions of law, both historical and contemporary, while embracing innovative approaches and expanding the boundaries of the legal discipline.
Themed Dossier Approach
JGLR adopts a unique approach by curating each issue as a themed dossier, delving into specific areas of legal significance. Our themed dossiers allow for comprehensive exploration and in-depth analysis of various legal topics, contributing to a nuanced understanding of law's role in society. By bringing together academics from law and related disciplines, JGLR fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and encourages a broad range of perspectives.
Promoting Innovative Scholarship: JGLR is particularly interested in publishing works that push the boundaries of legal scholarship through innovative methodologies and forms of expression. We encourage authors to explore new avenues and experiment with alternative approaches to legal research, fostering a dynamic and forward-thinking academic environment.
Enhanced Publication Formats: In addition to traditional journal articles, JGLR provides a platform for diverse forms of legal scholarship. We have published long-form interviews and thought-provoking photo essays that engage with legal themes. Moreover, we introduced three new occasional sections in 2020:
Book Forum: Engage in conversations between readers and authors, exploring the themes, ideas, and implications of a specific book.
Teaching Texts: Share pedagogical experiences of using key texts in the classroom, highlighting innovative teaching methods and insights.
Review Essays: Present argument-based analyses of collections of books or works, offering comprehensive evaluations and critical assessments.
