About Me

Course: B.A. LLB

Being part of JGU, helped me think, plan/strategize, and act like a true professional. I give credit for helping me inculcate the habit of thorough preparation, clarity in my thoughts/communication, and exercise due diligence / research, before initiating any work/assignment. The above fundamentals have helped me develop a better approach towards my work, conduct myself like a professional, and achieve my goals and reach important milestones in life.

Being a part of the first batch of the 5-Year B.A. LLB. Program, there are actually many faculty members who have influenced my overall growth and career progression. Professor James J. Nedumpara, a towering personality in the entire of the faculty of JGU, was instrumental in helping and shaping my plan for pursuing LLM from Durham University and more particularly, the field of study being International Investment Law (Investment Arbitration), and because of whose initial grounding and training during my time at JGLS, I was able to secure a distinction of top 20 rank holders in the Law School, Durham University. Another great gentleman from whom I was greatly inspired and adopted his style of thinking was Professor Sushant Chandra. He taught us Interpretation of Statutes in our Final Year of Law School and his idea of making sure each topic goes down through each and every one through his super interactive basis of holding class is something I still remember vividly. What he taught us is still fresh in my memory. He was truly an asset to the entire faculty base during my time in hashtag#JGLS. Last but not the least, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Dr. C. Raj Kumar for being extremely supportive and affectionate all throughout Law School. He penned a beautiful Letter of Recommendation for me on the basis of which I was able to secure admission in almost every University I applied to for an LLM. Course.

After graduating from JGLS, I went on to pursue Masters from Durham University, U.K. in 2014 itself in International Commercial Law with specific emphasis on International Investment Law. After completing the post-graduate course, I worked for sometime at a renowned Barrister Chamber (i.e. XXIV Chambers) at Lincoln's Inn, London. I decided to move back to India in late 2015 and decided to join the prestigious Chamber of Shri. Jayant Kumar Mehta, Senior Advocate, Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India. After spending close to one and a half year in his Chamber, I decided to join Shrivastava Law Associates started by my elder brother, Mr. Anshuman Shrivastava in the year 2010. Since the year 2017, I have been a part of this firm which has it's main office in New Delhi and with great efforts, we also opened another office in the State of Chhattisgarh, in Raipur in 2021. As of April 2023, I cleared the Advocate-On-Record Exam conducted by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
