Sustainability Committee at JGU

The Sustainability Committee at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a dedicated group of students, faculty, and staff working together to promote sustainable practices and initiatives across the university campus and beyond. Founded on the principles of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability, the committee serves as a catalyst for fostering a culture of sustainability within the university community.

The committee’s mission encompasses various aspects of sustainability, including environmental conservation, resource management, social equity, and ethical governance. Through collaborative efforts and innovative projects, the committee strives to integrate sustainability into all facets of university operations, academic programs, and campus life.

By fostering a sense of responsibility and empowerment, the committee encourages individuals to adopt more sustainable behaviors in their daily lives and academic pursuits.

The committee actively promotes sustainable practices and initiatives on campus. This includes initiatives such as waste reduction and recycling programs, energy conservation measures, water management strategies, and sustainable transportation options. The committee also collaborates with university administration to implement sustainable policies and practices across campus facilities and operations.
