  1. How RERB Functions:

    Faculty and students submit their filled Jotform along with supporting documents to the JGU RERB email. The Chair & Member Secretary, with the help of Ms. Vinu Sharem from ODS, identify suitable reviewers (JGU Faculty) whose expertise aligns with the research area. The reviewers are then given a week to provide feedback, including any comments or approval if there are no ethical concerns. Based on JGU RERB guidelines, the application is processed through one of the three levels of review.

  3. RERB Application Process:

    Researchers need to fill out the Jotform and save it as a PDF, then submit it along with all necessary supporting documents to the JGU RERB email. We guide applicants through the process using the following email template:

    "May we kindly request you to complete the mandatory online application form, along with the necessary supporting documents, and send it to jgurerb@jgu.edu.in. Please download the PDF form here: Jotform Link. After downloading the form, please attach all necessary documents, including the plain language statement of research for informed consent, interview questions, and survey instruments. Email the completed form and documents to jgurerb@jgu.edu.in. Please ensure your questionnaire or interview schedules include the following content: 1. Consent Form, 2. Social Demographic details (for coding purposes of researchers and if required for the study) 3. Questions to be asked / Psychometric Scales to be Administered. 4. If responses will be in another language, include appropriate translation tools. Kindly send the filled Jotform to us at jgurerb@jgu.edu.in.   4. How RERB contribute towards the Research at JGU?

    The Research Ethics & Review Board (RERB) at JGU plays a crucial role in ensuring that research conducted at the institution adheres to ethical standards. Here are some key contributions:

    Ethical Oversight: The RERB reviews research proposals to ensure they meet ethical guidelines, protecting the rights and welfare of participants.

    Compliance: It ensures that research complies with national and international regulations regarding human subjects, data privacy, and integrity.

    Guidance: The board provides researchers with resources and guidance on ethical practices, helping them design studies that minimize risks.
