Dr. Amlan Das Gupta is a Development Economist who has been engaged in teaching and research since 2015. He holds a master degree in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute Delhi and completed his PhD. in Economics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2014. Since then he has taught at various institutions which include Indian Statistical Institute Delhi, Drake University, Des Moines, USA and Institute of Financial Management and Research in India. Amlan’s research interests lie in the fields of Development and Environmental Economics. His work uses quantitative methods and econometric models to answer questions about economic behaviour and policy in the developing world.
