Admissions Process

The admissions process of M.Sc. Finance is specifically designed to evaluate the intellectual ability and critical thinking capability of the applicants. This process is both rigorous and holistic that aims to gauge the suitability of the applicant for research-intensive Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF) programme. 

Round 1 -Application Assessment

To start your application, click here and register with an active email address. Your login details will be sent to this email account after due verification. All relevant information will be communicated to you on this registered email address only.

The applicant should provide all the information sought in the application, both in the mandatory and non-mandatory sections, as it will help in better evaluation.

Please keep scanned copies of the following documents handy for uploading.

  • Class X Board Scores or Equivalent, Class XII Board Scores or Equivalent and Graduation scores (if completed)
  • Passport Size Photograph
X and XII Board Exam and Graduation Scores

Applicants are asked to upload their Grades/Score of X/Equivalent, XII/ Equivalent and Graduation scores. If the applicant does not have their Graduation scores at the time of applying, they can mention ‘Awaited’ in the relevant column. Please note that we look at an applicant’s scores in totality and consider the broader patterns.

Entrance Examination Score

Applicants will be evaluated based on their performance in the JGU Entrance Test, MFAT (Master’s in Finance Aptitude Test) or an equivalent (GRE/GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT) examination. Mention the entrance examination score in the application form.

If an applicant is yet to appear for any qualifying examinations or is awaiting the examination results, he/she may check ‘Awaited’ in the relevant column.

Passport Size Photograph

Please upload the recent front-facing picture (2 x 2) with a neutral background.

Applicants will be notified if they have “Advanced to Round 2” or if their application has been “Rejected”.

Round 2 – Faculty Interview

Applicants who have advanced to Round 2 will need to appear in the entrance examination:

Entrance Examinations

If an applicant hasn’t appeared in any of these entrance exams (GRE/GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT), he/she needs to qualify JGU entrance examination (Finance Aptitude Test).  

Round 3 – Result Declaration
  • Applicants will be notified if they have “Advanced to Round 3”, have been “Rejected”, or “Placed on the Waitlist”. Applicants who have advanced to Round 3 will receive a Provisional Offer of Admissions.
  • Successful applicants are required to pay the Refundable Registration Fee* of Rs.50,000 to secure their seat.
  • Once the Graduation results are declared, applicants will be given their Final Offer of Admission.
  • Applicants who would like to apply for a scholarship will submit their documents for consideration at this time.
Waitlisted Applicants

Applicants may also be waitlisted depending on their results. Waitlisted applicants are requested to upload their Graduation results as soon as they are released. Such applicants may also be asked to face another round of interview.
