A Vibrant Tapestry of Celebrations Unite Students Across Traditions

Cultural diversity is deeply ingrained in the college life at JGU, making it a vibrant and inclusive environment. Throughout the year, various cultural festivals and events are celebrated with enthusiasm and fervor, showcasing the richness of different traditions and customs.

During the Tamil New Year celebrations, the Tamil Community at JGU comes together for two days of festivities. The highlight of the celebration is the gala lunch, meticulously organized with an elaborate Tamil menu, featuring a wide array of traditional dishes. The next day, the spirit of the Tamil culture shines through as Tamil students showcase their talents in various cultural performances at ADDA, the campus cultural hub.

Another cherished occasion is the Bihu celebration, where students from the Northeastern community unite to commemorate their cultural heritage. The festivities include captivating cultural performances that portray the essence of the region's art and traditions. The campus comes alive with vibrant displays of traditional attire, offering a glimpse into the colorful diversity of the Northeastern cultures. An exciting element of the Bihu celebration is the food tasting session, where students from all backgrounds have the opportunity to savor and appreciate the unique flavors of local delicacies from the Northeast.

Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, is another grand event celebrated by the Telugu community at JGU. Students eagerly participate in the festivities, coming together in large numbers to enjoy an elaborate lunch. Organized by the JGU Student Council, the lunch is a feast of Telugu cuisine, featuring a delectable spread of authentic dishes.
