Office of Admissions and Outreach – Refund Policy
Introduction
O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is an Institution of Eminence (IoE) notified by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The University Fee Refund Policy governs the withdrawal and refund of fees to any student as per rules prescribed by the University.

Withdrawal Refund Policy
The officially notified last date of admission is 31st July, 2023. Below are the Refund Details on Withdrawal of Admission by the Candidate:
1. If a candidate withdraws their admission on or before 16th July, 2023, the candidate will receive a 100% refund on the entire Registration fees for the residential programmes, as deposited by the candidate.
2. If a candidate withdraws their admission from 17th July, 2023 to 30th July, 2023, the candidate will receive a 90% refund on the Registration fees for the residential programmes, as deposited by the candidate.
3. If a candidate withdraws their admission from 31st July, 2023 to 14th August, 2023, the candidate will receive 80% refund on the Registration fees for the residential programmes, as deposited by the candidate.
4. If a candidate withdraws their admission from 15th August, 2023 to 29th August, 2023, the candidate will receive a 50% refund on the Registration fees for the residential programmes, as deposited by the candidate.
5. If a candidate withdraws their admission on or after 30th August, 2023, none of the fees paid will be refunded.

*Date by which the candidate must notify the JGU Admissions & Outreach.
**Note, no refunds will be processed on or after 30th August, 2023.
***Registration Fee does not include caution money and security deposit. Caution money and security deposit will be refunded in full, if paid, irrespective of the date on which notice of withdrawal is received.
Please note the following:
- A deduction as administrative processing fee of INR 5,000 will be charged from the refundable amount.
- The above refund details are based on the amount(s) deposited by the candidate within the given payment deadlines of O.P. Jindal Global University.
- O.P. Jindal Global University reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of the policy at any time by posting the amended policy on the website. Candidates are advised to check the policy periodically for changes.
Procedure For Seeking A Refund
- All initial requests for refunds must be received by the Office of Admissions and Outreach no later than 5:00 P.M. on the last deadline in each tier to be processed within that tier.
- To apply for a refund, candidates must send a request to their respective Admission Counsellor and refunds@jgu.edu.in. This request will be treated as a notice of withdrawal and the quantum of refund will be calculated as per the aforementioned table on page 2 . Please include your Name, Programme, and Application Number in all communications. A request sent to any other email id will not be valid.
- Applicants for refunds may undergo an exit interview with a member of the Admissions Team prior to their application being processed. This interview is primarily for informational purposes and will in no way impact the status of the refund request unless the applicant rescinds the refund request themselves.
- Any grievance regarding refunds under this policy must be sent to ‘JGU Finance’ (finance@jgu.edu.in).
