JIBS organises Mid-Career Training Programme for CAG officers

Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), in collaboration with Jindal Institute of Leadership Development & Executive Education (JILDEE), conducted a six-day Mid-Career Training Programme for officers of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG). The programme, on the theme ‘Stress and Anxiety Management’, was held from January 15 to 20.

Prof. (Dr.) Pulkit Khanna, Dean, JIBS, conducted a session on ‘Effective Communication’, in which she explained the need and importance of communication skills on technical issues, while emphasising on the constructive engagement with the client organisation. She also delivered another session on ‘SDGs the India story – National Strategy for achieving SDGs’.

Dr. Vipin Vijay Nair, Assistant Professor at JIBS, conducted a session on ‘Financial Crime’, explaining the government initiatives to prevent financial fraud. Another session was presented by Dr. Vipin on cloud computing.

Dr. Pulkit Khanna invited as a key speaker

Prof. (Dr.) Pulkit Khanna, Dean of JIBS, was invited as a key speaker for the Bharat Shiksha Sankalp webinar organised as a part of the Eduverse Summit Series 2024. Dr. Khanna spoke about ‘Innovations in Indian Classrooms, Embracing a Future-ready Education System’. The webinar was held on January 18.

Dr. Khanna emphasised the need for replacing textbooks with hands-on projects that can tackle real-world challenges. She pointed out that teachers ought to be facilitators, fostering collaboration and critical thinking. She explained the importance of equipping students not just with facts, but with the adaptability and ingenuity they need to flourish in the dynamic future that awaits them.

Dr. Vipin Vijay Nair awarded Fellow of Indian Society of Criminology

Dr. Vipin Vijay Nair, Assistant Professor at JIBS, was awarded the Fellow of Indian Society of Criminology (FISC) 2024. The honour was conferred during the 5th International and 44th All India Criminology Conference held at the National Forensic Science University in Gandhinagar on January 23.

“The FISC recognizes individuals who have played a pivotal role in advancing the objectives of the Indian Society of Criminology through active participation in its activities and facilitating its growth,” the felicitation read.

Dr. Nair’s candidature was nominated by Prof. (Dr.) Priyamvadha and was selected through a rigorous process from several nominations by a panel with members including Prof.(Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Tiwari and Prof. Mehraj Uddin Mir.
