JGU celebrates 14th Anniversary and University Day
JGU celebrated its 14th Anniversary and University Day on September 30, marking the day when the University’s first academic session began in 2009. Since then, JGU has been celebrating September 30 as its University Day. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. (Mrs.) Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities, and Dr. Shailendra R. Mehta, President & Director and Distinguished Professor – Innovation & Entrepreneurship, MICA.
JGU’s beginning on September 30, 2009 was modest with a little over 100 students, 10 faculty members and 1 school. Now, 14 years later, JGU has 12 schools, 11,000+ students, over 1,100+ full-time faculty members from 50+ countries in the world, and 700+ administrative staff.
