As part of the National Convention on Women in India, we are proud to present three powerful art exhibitions that mark the special occasion of the International Women’s Day. These exhibitions serve as a tribute to the diverse voices, lived experiences, and artistic expressions of women, reflecting our commitment to gender discourse through the lens of art, history, and culture.

Hosted by O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), these exhibitions underscore the intersection of education, creativity, and advocacy in shaping a more inclusive and equitable society. They invite us to witness and engage with women’s perspectives, struggles, and triumphs through visual storytelling.

The three exhibitions are:

1. Curated Works from the Bachelor of Fine Arts Programme (Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities)

(Location: Admissions Office Foyer, Ground Floor, Opposite to the Sports Academy)

Showcasing thought-provoking works by students and faculty, this exhibition reflects the creative energies and intellectual explorations of the next generation of artists. It highlights a range of artistic expressions that challenge, celebrate, and reimagine gender and society.
 

1. “Through Her Eyes – The Female Experience”

A deeply evocative collection that explores the world from a woman’s perspective, this exhibition captures the complexities of identity, resilience, and agency through various artistic mediums. It invites us to reflect on the realities of gendered experiences and the transformative power of women’s narratives.

1. “Afghan Women Through the Ages”

(Curated by the Centre for Afghanistan Studies, JGU)
Location: Adjacent to the Visitor's Lounge, Ground Floor, Opposite to the International Office

This exhibition offers a compelling visual journey through the histories, cultural contributions, and struggles of Afghan women. Spanning different historical periods, it sheds light on the resilience and evolving roles of women in Afghan society.

Each of these exhibitions is an invitation to engage, reflect, and honor the stories of women—past, present, and future. We hope these artistic explorations will spark meaningful conversations and deepen our collective commitment to gender justice and empowerment.
