Angela Ann Joseph (Ph.D) is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities (JSLH). She completed her undergraduate education in Behavior, Cognition and Neuroscience at the University of Windsor, Canada (2008), following which she pursued her M. Sc in Clinical Psychology at Christ University, Bangalore (2010). In 2015 she received her Ph. D in Clinical Psychology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

The topic of her thesis was “Sleep Disturbances in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder”. This was a cross-sectional comparative research study of sleep disturbances between children with ADHD and their typically developing peers using polysomnography. She has clinical, research and industry experience which is substantiated by various assignments she undertook at AIIMS Delhi, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited, Pearson and Indus Training and Research Institute (ITARI).

She has also been associated with international research collaborations such as ONTRAC (evaluation of a novel neuroplasticity-based training program to remediate cognitive control deficits in ADHD) and Rock-On (Recovery of cognition in kids with ongoing neglect) between All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Brain Plasticity Institute and University of California, San Francisco. Prior to joining JSLH, she worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Christ University, Bangalore. Over the course of her education and professional experience, she has had the opportunity to work on a myriad of research topics which include, Intersex conditions, ADHD, sleep disorders, and mental health assessment in prisons. This has culminated in research papers published in peer reviewed journals and presentations at conferences in India and Europe.
