Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) welcomed new students to their M.A./M.Sc. Applied Psychology and MSc Psychosocial Rehabilitation programmes during an orientation event. The session offered students a comprehensive overview of the institute's vision, academic philosophy, and the wide range of courses offered across psychology and mental health disciplines.
Students were familiarised with the various facilities available at JIBS, including dedicated research labs, psychological assessment tools, counselling centres, and access to hands-on training and fieldwork opportunities. Faculty members and programme leaders walked them through the academic structure, expectations, and support systems in place to ensure a meaningful and enriching learning experience.

International Youth Day commemorated
To mark International Youth Day, the students of Centre for Community Mental Health (CCMH) at JIBS organised a Talk Circle on the theme 'Things I Wish People Knew About Being Young Today'. The initiative created a safe and open space for meaningful dialogue, where young voices shared their perspectives, challenges, and aspirations. The Talk Circle highlighted the importance of listening to youth narratives and strengthening community well-being through collective conversations.
Centre for Community Mental Health conducts 'Together We Begin'
In the first week of the semester, CCMH, JIBS, hosted 'Together, We Begin', a connecting event for freshers and seniors, in which 165 students joined. Conversations flowed long past the timer, notes of kindness and encouragement filled the walls, and students left not just with memories of an evening but with numbers, friendships, and guidance to carry into the semester ahead. 'Together, We Begin' was about creating a space where people felt seen, supported, and at home.
JIBS students visit Evoluer Solutions
Students of JIBS visited Evoluer Solutions, a Gurugram-based organisation working with neurodiverse adults. Students had the opportunity to experience varied levels of employability skills training and listen to the experiences of those who have completed their internships with various organisations. The visit helped JIBS students to gain an understanding of the vocational rehabilitation of people with neurodiversity.
Founded in 2017, Evoluer envisions setting a new paradigm of inclusive practices, not only in schools and other educational institutes, but also in the industry as well.
