Caged (In) and Out, a documentary produced by the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), has been officially selected in the best documentary category at the Kuala Lumpur International Film Awards (KLIFA) 2025 set to take place in November.
The film produced in-house by JIBS sheds light on the pervasive issue of domestic violence in India, offering an intimate perspective through the voices of survivors and their families. It also highlights the relentless effort of grassroots women-led organisations fighting for justice and the urgent need for early gender sensitisation in communities. This is the fourth selection for the documentary in an international film festival.
KLIFA celebrates global storytelling that champions peace, reconciliation, and humanitarian values. Earlier another JIBS documentary had won three accolades at different international platforms.
