The official website of JGU’s Global Library is redesigned using advanced web technologies and accessibility features to enhance the user experience. The updated site serves as a central hub for students, faculty, and researchers to explore the library’s extensive range of information resources, including proprietary and open-access content, along with essential research tools.
The content is organised into five main navigation sections: Books & Films, Serials & Databases, Tools & Platforms, Spaces & Services, and Policies & Guidelines. The site also provides quick links to key platforms developed in-house such as the Library Catalogue, eBook Finder, Research Guides, Publications Repository, and Preprint Server.
The site highlights a wide range of services offered by librarians, including research consultations, information literacy workshops and orientation programmes, and interlibrary loan services, with instructions on how to access them. Users can also make use of online forms to recommend books, request document delivery, or submit movie screening requests with ease.
A feature in the new website is Literary Warrant, the official blog of the Global Library which highlights new resource additions, library initiatives, and developments in information technology and scholarly communication areas. Users can subscribe to the monthly edition of the blog directly via email.
To make the transition easier, the new website includes a link to the old version.
