Description

India has a strong cultural and creative legacy, and it is home to one of the world's greatest creative economies. However, due to a lack of comprehensive acknowledged research, the size and layout of the different sub-sectors that make up the creative industries remain unknown. This joint effort between the Loughborough University (UK), O.P. Jindal Global University (India) and University of Glasgow (UK) intended to collect and offer a complete picture of the creative industries sector in India, the research and innovation ecosystem that supported it, and the legislative frameworks within which it functioned. It aimed to distil a significant amount of data and information to provide a clear understanding of the prospects and potential hurdles for future India-UK Creative Industries research and innovation partnership.
