OPSS organises Integrated Manual Therapy Workshop

The Office of Physiotherapy and Sports Sciences (OPSS) hosted a one-day workshop on July 24 on Integrated Manual Therapy Approach.

The workshop's resource person, Dr. Deepak Kumar, Director, Capri Institute of Manual Therapy, New Delhi, held sessions that translated manual therapy concepts into actionable, real-world techniques, helping participants bridge the gap between academic theory and evidence-based clinical practice.

The workshop began with an introduction to manual therapy principles. Throughout the day, live demonstrations showed the practical impact of subtle therapeutic manoeuvres, providing visuals that reinforced classroom learning. The focal point was the experiential, hands-on practice. Under Dr. Kumar's guidance, participants performed and refined manual therapy techniques, sharpening their skills.

Interactive segments such as Q&A sessions and group discussions enriched the workshop, enabling peer-to-peer exchanges and encouraging nuanced clinical reasoning, vital for contemporary physiotherapy education. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants were given certificates.
