The Office of Physiotherapy and Sports Sciences (OPSS) conducted on March 23 a session titled 'Core Connect: Screening and Advice on Core Strength and Flexibility'.
The session was held as part of celebrating the birthday of JGU's Chancellor, Mr. Naveen Jindal. Attended by 30 members of the JGU community, it aimed to promote physical wellbeing through objective assessment of core strength and flexibility, along with practical exercise guidance. It highlighted the importance of early screening to identify deficits, enabling timely physiotherapy interventions for injury prevention and improved functional performance. Dr Mayank Bora and Dr Dimple Khurana conducted individualised assessments of core strength and flexibility, stressing the significance of incorporating core exercises into daily routines. They also provided simple, tailored exercise plans for participants.
