
In February, Office of Doctoral Studies (ODS) hosted two research-intensive Guest Talks that enabled cross-disciplinary dialogue on issues at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, social sciences, governance and policy.
In the first Guest Talk on February 19 on the theme 'AI in Social Sciences Research - Understanding the Determinants of Indoor Pollution in Households in West Bengal', Professor Anindya Sen, University of Waterloo, explained how AI and data-driven methodologies can strengthen social science research and policy interventions.
In the second event held on February 17, Professor Prasanna Karhade, Associate Professor, Department of Decisions, Operations and Technology, CUHK Business School, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, spoke on the theme 'AI Governance and the Decentralization of Technology Production'.
