JGU's Biodiversity Report launched

A first-of-its-kind report titled 'JGU's Biodiversity' was released on September 30, the 16th University Day. Mr Amitabh Kant, former G20 Sherpa of India, unveiled the report during the special interaction on 'The India Story, Brand India' at the JGU campus.

The report is dedicated to JGU's rich biosphere. It describes the biodiversity and ecological richness of the JGU campus featuring trees, flowers, shrubs and other green cover that stretches across much of the campus area, as well as migratory birds, various species of butterflies and nature in its beautiful forms.

It is noteworthy that in September, JGU was awarded the 5-Star Excellent Rating for Environmental Impact in the QS Stars Ratings 2025, a global system that evaluates universities across multiple domains. This recognition highlighted JGU's commitment to creating a greener future and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through preserving biodiversity and healthy ecosystems.
