Campus Overview
Security
We have a strong Security, Safety and Vigilance department with more than 170 Male and Female security guards deployed daily round the clock 24×7 throughout the campus. The entire campus is covered by an effective surveillance system with more than 1000+ CCTV cameras placed at strategic locations. We also have a Quick Response Team to handle any untoward incident/situation 24×7 and conducts regular mock drills to ensure preparedness and readiness in responding to emergencies or critical situations. The campus has a robust fire and safety team with fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, smoke and heat detectors across the academic block and hostels. There is one Haryana Police post manned by male and female staff in front of University Main gate to assist in safety and security of the campus.
Health Services
We have a permanent Health Centre with all essential equipment and round the clock assistance available for students. The 3500 sq.ft. Health Centre has separate Male and Female wards, Consultation rooms, Physiotherapy treatment, Counselling, Meditation and Sample Collection rooms. The Health Centre has a strong team of qualified medical practitioners including four doctors, eight nursing staff, two physiotherapists, two student counsellors to provide all the necessary health care services. Doctors who specialize in ENT, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics visit’s the health centre once a month to provide specialized consultation services. A full-time medical residential medical officer and nurses are on duty 24×7. The on-campus Pharmacy near the Health Centre is open all days. The campus also has two Ambulances, operating 24 hours.
The Health Centre has an Indoor ward with 25 beds and a Flu ward with 5 beds that are fully equipped with bedside MGPS system (Oxygen Gas and Suction Pipelines), bedside Multipara Monitors, ECG Machines, a Ventilator, and a Defibrillator to handle any emergency at the JGU campus. Sports & Fitness
We have a full fledged Department of Physical Education which provides unmatched and state-of-the-art facilities in Cricket, Basketball, Football, Badminton (Indoor), Volleyball, Table Tennis, Pool/Snooker, Chess and Carrom, Polo ground and Swimming. Special sessions of Yoga, Dance and Aerobics are also organized for students and staff members. Special emphasis is laid on improving not only the health component and lifestyle but also to instil the qualities of team cohesion and sportsman-spirit. The Department of Physical Education coordinates with the JGU Sports Society to organize an Inter-University Sports Festival named ‘MAGNUS’ on an annual basis.
The University has a state of the art, Olympic sized swimming pool. Constructed nearly three years ago, the University also provides training for students who wish to learn swimming.
Dining & Food Court
A state-of-the-art kitchen with the best equipment ensures that a wide array of cuisines can be prepared. The food is served under hygienic conditions. The food services are made available in the dining hall of the University on self-service basis.
Outlets at the JGU food court provide multi cuisine options through brands such as Subway, Burger Point, 34 Chowringhee Lane, Street Food by Punjab Grill, Bercos, Moti Mahal, Domino’s Pizza, Breakfast Round the Clock {BRC} & Keventers. Library
The Library has a collection of about 75000 print volumes and an array of electronic resources. The print collection includes books, monographs, research reports, law reports, and back volumes of periodicals etc. All subjects related to the University’s academic and research programmes have been included in the collection. Print resources of the Library have been divided into General Collection, and Reference Collection. The library is also developing a core collection of media resources comprising of documentaries, training films, fiction, music, etc.
Hostels
The University Hall of Residence for students consists of several blocks of buildings designed by a French architect. There are corridors, open spaces and common rooms within each block. There are separate blocks for male and female students. The accommodation for students in these blocks follows international norms and the rooms are aesthetically furnished. Hygiene is an important consideration in these Halls.
Theatre
A first of its kind for any university in the region, the theatre, part of the multi-purpose Performing Arts Academy, will serve the purpose of a Performing Arts Theatre, a Movie Theatre and a state-of-the-art Conference Hall. The theatre comes equipped with BOSE 7.1 audio system with Dolby digital platform; 8 speakers, 3 main front speakers and 3 subwoofers. The audio system has been programmed for a movie experience, and for live performances and conferences as well, and has an LG active LED video wall. It also has 170 movie-theatre push-back chairs, and the interiors have been designed considering the best-in-class insulation system and fire retardant materials e.g. fabric on the walls is of fire retardant material 350 gsm.
Club`s
We have more than 25 clubs which students can join, in order to sharpen their co-curricular skills. Clubs ranging from the JGU Film Society, Music Society, Debate Society, Human Rights Society, Dance Society, Documentary Society ensure that students undertake critical, in-depth discussions and also hone their creative skills while in campus.
Campus Accessibility
JGU endeavours to harness an inclusive learning environment for all its students. Students with a known disability, requiring different academic and other accommodations. We provide support to students with a wide range of health and learning related conditions. These conditions include physical and movement-related difficulties, visual impairment, hearing impairment, medical conditions, specific learning difficulties and mental health conditions. The Disability Support Committee maintains strict confidentiality in its discussions and respects the privacy of the students.

Others
A branch of the ICICI bank is present within the University premises, along with an ATM, for students to manage their financial transactions seamlessly. The University provides laundry services to students at a nominal cost, and such services include washing, drying and pressing. JGU has a guest house facility, with a total of 21 executive rooms which can be availed by the parents and guests subject to their availability. These facilities can be booked at the rate of INR 2,000 per day (Inclusive of Breakfast).
The University operates housekeeping services for a clean and hygienic environment within the JGU Campus. There is a routine cleaning service of the entire Campus. We offers transport facility from JGU Campus gate to Haiderpur metro station in Delhi for students, staff, and guests at a nominal cost. Cabs for personal use can be booked through a registered vendor on a direct payment basis and at a pre-defined tariff.
