Policy Development for Clean Energy Technology

Centre for International Trade and Economic Laws (CITEL) is an academic research centre affiliated to Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). CITEL in collaboration with the CWS undertook a project on renewable energy schemes in the United States in order to identify and submit various local content requirement schemes by various States in the country promoting the purchase of locally produced solar panels instead of those that are foreign-origin/manufactured. This project assisted the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India to explore the possibilities of seeking a consultation at the WTO concerning the subsidies provided by the US government to the renewable energy sector. The project was funded by CWS.

The Jindal Global Centre for G20 Studies is the first research centre established by any Indian university that will exclusively focus on research, thought leadership and capacity building initiatives relating to G20. G20 is an inter-governmental forum that has 20 countries and the European Union as its members. Its main objective is to address issues relating to the global economy, especially on matters relating to international financial stability, climate mitigation and sustainable development.
