Dr. Debajit Jha

Prof. (Dr.) Debajit Jha is a Professor of Economics at Jindal School of Government & Public Policy, O. P. Jindal Global University, Haryana. He holds a PhD in economics from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Before joining this university in 2017, he taught economics at different reputed government colleges in West Bengal under the West Bengal Education Service (WBES). During this period, he also served as Assistant Director of Public Instruction to the Government of West Bengal. Dr. Jha is a macroeconomist by training and his primary research interest is empirical growth and development economics.
