Office of Career Services (OCS)

The Office of Career Services (OCS) helps students build their career portfolio and align with industry expectations. Through regular knowledge-based activities and events organised in partnership with reputed firms and institutions, OCS facilitates student learning beyond the classroom as well as create opportunities for internships and placements. From career counselling to exploring personal interests, aptitudes, and abilities, to professional development through employability linked training, to learning about corporate grooming – OCS enable students to develop essential skills that will help them explore the world of employment and new career avenues.

Recruitment Process

Procedure for the Campus Recruitment
Students at JGU gain professional exposure and experience through summer internships, field visits, and working with faculty members through research centres and projects. The Office of Career Services supports and facilitates career development activities for students. This includes preparing students for interviews, helping students in exploring career options, identifying their interest and aligning their individual interests with the career options, and giving them the required exposure in their chosen field through internship opportunities. OCS offers a variety of programmes, trainings and resources that prepares students to succeed in their career. It also supports students through providing soft skills and personality development trainings, mock interview sessions and career counselling sessions. In addition, OCS provides placement opportunities and helps to connect students and prospective employers. OCS also conducts industry interaction sessions and networking events by experienced professionals from diversified sectors. It also conducts CV reviews and guide students to write industry specific cover letters, and emails.
