Biography

Prof. (Dr.) Alok Pandey is a Professor at Jindal School of Banking & Finance and Dean of the Office of Career Services at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU).   His contributions span teaching, research, and leadership in financial analysis, corporate governance, e-governance and public finance. An expert in the area of Corporate Governance, Corporate Finance and Financial Markets, he presently leads the Office of Career Services at JGU. As Dean his focus is on empowering students and enhancing career pathways through strategic initiatives. In addition to his current position at O.P. Jindal Global University, he is a member of the Board of Directors at India’s largest e-Governance Company, CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. (Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India), Chairman of the Index Advisory Committee (IAdC) of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX), and was a member of the Committee of Advanced Studies & Research (CASR) at the Aligarh Muslim University from January 2023-2025.

In his three-decade long career he has served at premier institutions as Professor, Director and Dean and has supported several institutions and statutory bodies of the Government of India.  He was appointed as Associate Professor at Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad after his Ph.D. in 2002 and later worked as Associate Professor (Selection Grade) at National Institute of Financial Management Faridabad. He also worked as a Professor and Member Secretary of Academic Council at LBSIM Delhi from 2013-2019. As an administrator he has served ICAI (CMA) as Director- Advanced Studies, Director IMS Ghaziabad, and Dean at GD Goenka University. He has also supported ICSI, ICAI, NSE, BSE, NISM, IIFT and IIMs as an adjunct faculty and an expert. 

 He has published close to 50 research articles, book chapters and news-paper articles till date, and has presented his research work in several national and international conferences. His articles have appeared in several ABDC listed and Scopus indexed journals. These include Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, International Journal of Financial Markets & Derivatives, International Journal of Behavioural & Healthcare Research, Journal of Indian Medical Association, BHU Management Review, Paradigm, Business Perspectives, Vision- The Journal of Business Perspectives and Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society among others.  His books (text and edited) have been published by international publishers (Pearson, Mc-Graw Hill, Macmillan, Springer Nature- forthcoming) and he has recently signed a contract for his next book (text book) with one of the foremost international publishers, Cambridge University Press. 

Till date, five research scholars have completed their Ph.D. level work under his supervision and sixth is pursuing his research work at JGU. He has also supervised MBA dissertations for over 100 students over the last 25 years. Additionally, he has conducted over 40 MDPs & FDPs, with statutory accounting bodies of India and is currently involved in training senior officers of the CAG of India (Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India) at JGU and has organized over a dozen seminar and conferences as convenor and chair on topical issues. He has travelled extensively to several countries and is an alumnus of Faculty of Management Studies, BHU, University of Lucknow and Indian Institute of Banking & Finance.
