JSAT is an online home-proctored exam that allows the candidate to write this exam safely at home. The candidate would be exempted from JSAT if the candidate has at par SAT/ACT/LSAT score. This Test comprising of 120 Multiple Choice Questions covering logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude (Math), and verbal ability (English). Weightage for each category will be based on the chosen JGU programme of study.
Registering for JGU
Prior to registration for JSAT, candidates need to complete and submit their online programme application form through this link https://admissions.jgu.edu.in/. In case you have already submitted your application earlier, kindly log in to the “Existing User” with your Credentials used for the “Application Form”.
Registration and Scheduling for JSAT Exam
- After submitting the application form, the applicant need to make an online payment of Rs.1020. Students who select the JSAT option from the competitive examinations section will only be able to access the tab to schedule the JSAT after completing and submitting their UG application.
- Post payment, the” BOOK JSAT SLOT” button will be visible on applicant’s dashboard which will take you to the JSAT website, where you have to select “JSAT_001_Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test”.
- While registering for the exam you will find JGU Online Exam under Test Centre. You need to check the same address in the box and proceed further to complete your registration. JSAT is a home-proctored online exam.
- Select your preferred date and time. Post confirmation an email confirmation will be sent to the applicant on the registered mail ID.
Note: Since each programme has limited seats to be offered on first come first serve basis, students are advised to register and take the JSAT exam at the earliest possible date.
You will also receive an email within 24 hours of the scheduled exam date mentioning details on how to download the software to appear for the exam from the email id( jsatonlineexam@jgu.edu.in). Important Instructions while Appearing for JSAT
- You must ensure Seamless Internet connectivity while taking the JSAT exam.
- Kindly note that while appearing for the JSAT exam you do not have to leave the Screen until you finish the exam.
- JSAT exam can only be taken on the Desktop & Laptop. IPAD and any other devices are not acceptable.
- Questions once skipped by you can’t be retrieved back.
- You must attempt all 120 questions since there is no negative marking.
- Questions will appear in the following manner—Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Basic Maths.
- There are 3 sections comprising 40 questions from each.
- Do Not Forget to click the (FINISH) Button after completing all 120 Questions.
- In order to qualify JSAT exam, a student has to secure 50% accuracy and above. There is no sectional Cut-off.
- If any student does not qualify JSAT exam on the 1st Attempt, he/she can reappear for JSAT by paying the exam fee ( Rs. 1020 ) to Pearson.

Scheduling the Retake Exam
Candidates are allowed to make 3 attempts at JSAT during the year’s testing period if they wish to. The best scores out of all the attempts will be considered. Candidates are required to pay for each attempt and can schedule the retake test with a gap of four or more days from their previous attempt during the testing window (subject to real-time availability). Candidates will be able to select any slot, which is a minimum of 48 hours later than the time they carry out the scheduling transaction in the Pearson VUE system.
