Lt. Gen Dr. Rajesh Kochhar is a highly decorated retired general officer of Indian Army from Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers with a distinguished career spanning four decades. He holds a PhD in Human Resources Management from Meerut University,M Phil in Defence Management from DAVV, Indore University, MSc in Defence Studies from Madras University,a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management from Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. He is also a graduate of the prestigious National Defence College as also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers. He has participated in the UN Peace Keeping mission in Somalia and has represented the Indian Army on official delegations to France,UK, Sweden, Italy, Australia and Philippines. He has a rich experience of strategizing military leadership, human resource management, strategic planning, macro level policy formulation, resource management and operation logistics.
He is an experienced team leader, planner and executor of large scale logistic operations. He has lectured widely on military leadership at Indian School of Business, Indian Institute of Management, Management Development Institute and various other management institutes in the country. He has been decorated four times by the President of India, once by the Chief of Army staff and twice by the Army Commanders for distinguished service. Formerly Chief of Staff of the Army Training Command, also called the “Think Tank” of the Indian Army.
