The University has received grants and funding for research and capacity building initiatives from various ministries of the Government of India, including for the training of senior officers of the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Revenue Service, Indian Trade Service, the three branches of the Indian military, and other police and paramilitary forces. We have also been awarded grants and contracts for research and capacity building from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations University (UNU), the Afghanistan Civil Service Institute, and other governmental, intergovernmental and private sector organizations.

Projects
As part of creating an enabling research environment, JGU encourages faculty members to engage in consultancy assignments with other institutions, business houses and public sector organizations. The terms of engagement in a consultancy project are governed by the University’s Consultancy Policy. The extensive and interdisciplinary faculty expertise has allowed the University to secure numerous funded research projects.
Research collaborations with the industry have also benefited our students in the form of thesis projects with joint supervision.
