Biography

Prof. (Dr.) Tanushree Sharma is a Professor in the Jindal Global Business School. She also heads Centre for Learning and Innovative Pedagogies. Her work experience of two decades is evenly split between industry and academia. Her experience of managing the entire spectrum of Human Resources (HR) and HR advisory has enhanced her ability to weave together the warp of practice and weft of concepts well. She has worked in Learning and Development, HR, and allied domains at organizations such as Tata Projects, Delphi Automotive, Punwire Mobiles, and University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES). Her advisory revolves around learning and development, organizational capabilities, competency assessment, leadership, employee engagement, performance and change management.

Prof. Sharma has directed several management development and training programs for national and international public and private sector organisations. She served as faculty for European Union’s Capability Building Assignment for Indian Aviation Sector, co-executed by UPES and Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main University of Applied Sciences, Germany. She has conducted various training sessions for officers from State Governments and Corporates including Central Tibetan Administration, Bapex Oil and PetroBangla, Bangladesh, CAG, GAIL, Oil India, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, ONGC, EIL, NHPC, NTPC, Power Grid, Coal India, IGL, THDC, UJVN, UPCL, GETCO, GSPC, Cairn Energy, and JSPL.

Prof. Sharma has a Ph.D. in Management from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. A Master Instructional Designer from Association of Talent Development (ATD), USA, and a Six-Sigma Green Belt, she holds certification in Design Thinking from Stanford GSB Executive Education, Higher Education Teaching from Harvard BOK, Case Writing Workshop co-executed by Indian School of Business (ISB) and Richard Ivy School of Business, and Participant Centered Learning organized jointly by IIM Bangalore, and Harvard BPS. She has undergone Basic Lab in Human Processes offered by Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Science, and also undertaken accredited work study programs offered by Carlton Advanced Management Institute, USA such as Certified Trainer and Facilitator, Certified Competency and Performance Developer.

Prof. Sharma is a member of ATD, USA. She has published her work and participated in conferences at national and international platforms. Her current areas of interest include capability building, employee engagement, leadership, organizational culture and change.
