The Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) at Jindal Global Business School enables the development of successful student career paths, by making them career ready. This is accomplished by providing a range of opportunities which aim at mentoring our students in different ways during their lifecycle at JGBS. These include meaningful internships that positively contribute to their future career goals, interactive workshops that advance their professional skills and knowledge and professional skill based trainings.
OCPD works closely with Office of Career Services-JGBS on three fronts broadly to bolster our students’ professional strengths – internships, professional development, and higher education counseling.
We guide students to pursue corporate, small and medium enterprise (SME), and social internships which align with their broad areas of specialization and, increase their fitness for their chosen careers ahead. Further, the learnings of internship experience are harnessed through internship reports which students prepare with the support of their mentors and through faculty evaluation of internship presentations.
The professional caliber of our students is strengthened through interactive workshops, seminars, and activities, conducted by experts. This also readies them for success in higher education opportunities, especially in international spaces. Students are trained to develop impactful resumes which highlight their competencies and employability. Further, they are guided, through mock interviews and group discussions, to communicate and manage situations effectively. OCPD offers one-on-one and group support sessions to clarify and assist students with their career development queries. There are other trainings too which OCPD provides for empowering students with necessary soft and smart skills.
The Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) is an integral part of student support system at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). JGBS students have mandatory internships as part of their curriculum. Multiple internship experiences integrate classroom knowledge and theory with practical applications and help in overall skill development for a professional or community setting for our students. JGBS students receive experience-intensive opportunities that develop the knowledge and skills required to become successful in a specific career field.
During the internships, JGBS Students are expected to:

- Learn how a professional workplace operates
- Gain professional experience
- Learn professional etiquettes
- Learn from peers, supervisors and the clients

- Explore various career options
OCPD develops resources and conducts workshops (and other relevant events) that prepare our students for success in their search for an ideal career. Along with guiding them through the process of selecting and participating in internships meaningful to their long-term career goals, OCPD also systematically trains the students to perform par excellence.
