Biography

Dr. Abhishek Poddar is an Assistant Professor specializing in Finance and Accounting at Jindal Global Business School, O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat. He earned his PhD from the Vinod Gupta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. In addition, he also earned his MBA from the Vinod Gupta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Rangpo, Sikkim. Before starting his Ph.D., he gathered 7 years of professional experience in various capacities, including Production Support Associate, IT Analyst, and Operations Lead at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, where he catered to Banking and Financial industry clients. In addition, he has also authored research papers in esteemed journals such as Finance Research Letters (ABDC - A) and Journal of Risk Finance (ABDC - B). His research focuses on topics such as Financial Stability, Bank Competition, Liquidity, Loan Pricing, Governance, Cryptocurrencies, and Financial Network Analysis.
