Prof. (Dr.) Abhinav Srivastava is an Assistant Professor (Marketing area) in the Jindal Global Business School at the O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University). He has submitted his thesis at IIT Kharagpur (March, 2021) .He served in corporate sector for 15 years and was part of corporates like LML Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd, Tata Motors Finance Ltd and Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd. He has served in capacities of National Sales Manager (Rural Vertical), Associate Vice President (Refurbishment Division) and Head – DD and Marketing during his corporate tenure. His work areas included Channel Management, B2B, Rural Marketing, Sales Planning, Dealer Development, B2C, Marketing, and Product & Brand Management. This has given him rich insights into the business application of concepts taught in the MBA classroom.
In his doctoral thesis, he has work extensively on the Indian Base of the Pyramid segment. The research topic of his thesis was “Triggers of Aspirational Consumption at the Indian Base of the Pyramid: An Emergent Perspective”. He has published in premier journals like Journal of Business Research and Journal of Strategic Marketing. He also presented his research work at ANZMAC conference, Wellington (2019).
His current research areas include Base of the Pyramid, Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, Tourism and Political Marketing.
