B.A. (Hons.) Environment and Sustainable Development

The JSES B.A. (Hons.) Environment and Sustainable Development opens the pathway for working in the international and national arenas in this complex, challenging and exciting discipline which is set to become more and more sought after with the time. A large number of businesses, government bodies and organisations in India and across the world are seeking ways to be more sustainable, energy efficient and climate-appropriate, and require experts in this area.

This is a multi-disciplinary, contemporary degree through which you will gain knowledge of a number of key areas that play a role in sustainable development and the sustainable management of natural resources. With courses in environmental science, policy, law and the social sciences. Students get a broad education and learn how to understand and connect perspectives from these key disciplines.

They are, thus, equipped with the skills needed to be able to address the challenges of sustainable development, whether in the policy, law, science or conservation fields.

Eligibility : Applicants to B.A. (Hons.) Environment and Sustainable Development at JSES must have successfully passed the examination at the 10+2 level of schooling or its equivalent. Candidates will be selected through a holistic admissions process conducted over three rounds based on a personal statement, supplemental question, Class 10 and 12 marks, faculty interview and at par JSAT/SAT/ACT score.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Environment and Sustainable Development

In the year 2021, we face an increasing array of environmental challenges that require greater levels of innovation and collaboration among industry, government, academics and communities. Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES) hopes to support the global efforts (India/Asia/Global South) toward a sustainable future with cutting-edge teaching, research and practice-based engagement. Through national and international collaborations, JSES will promote interdisciplinary studies, joint teaching and research programmes, and a comparative perspective on environment and sustainability issues.
