JIBS holds masterclass and workshop

The Centre for Leadership and Change (CLC) of Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) organised a masterclass on ‘Psychometrics for the Industry’. The workshop was conducted on May 2 by Dr. Aishwarya Jaiswal, Senior Analyst at Mercer Mettl.

Dr Jaiswal is an expert in psychometrics, holding accreditations from institutions like HUCAMA and the Cambridge Assessment Network. Affiliations with renowned international organisations such as the British Psychological Society, American Psychological Association, and the Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychology complement her extensive research and consulting experience.

The Centre for Criminology and Forensic Studies of JIBS organised a workshop on ‘Forensic Science and the Future of the Criminal Justice System in India’. Ms. Hansi Bansal, Assistant Professor at the Government Institute of Forensic Science, Nagpur, Maharashtra, conducted the workshop.

Ms. Bansal’s main areas of work and interest include fingerprints, questioned documents, handwriting analysis, crime scene investigation & reconstruction, forensic anthropology, physical anthropology, and microbial forensics. She is a certified handwriting analysis specialist and certified signature analysis specialist.

JIBS students conduct outreach campaign

Students of M. Sc Psycho-Social Rehabilitation at JIBS conducted an outreach campaign at the Youth Resource Centre of Turning Point Foundation in Azadpur, Delhi. The campaign aimed at extending timely support to marginalised communities.

Students had discussions with the center’s trainers and students on psychological first-aid, stress management, mindfulness, and other crucial mental health topics.

Dr. Vipin Vijay Nair participates in Faculty Development Programme at IIT Kharagpur

Dr. Vipin Vijay Nair, Associate Professor, JIBS, participated in the Faculty Development Programme held at Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. Conducted from May 11 to 17, the programme was themed ‘Crime, Law and Justice: An Interdisciplinary Perspective’.  Dr. Vipin conducted a session on ‘New Dimensions to White Collar Crimes’.

Dean’s Dinner

Students, staff and faculty of JIBS gathered in May for Dean’s Dinner to honour the outgoing inaugural batch of MA/MSc Applied Psychology students. During the get-together, the Dean, faculty members, and staff felicitated the bright minds for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the JIBS community.
