Study Abroad Opportunities for Students

JIBS Offers and supports two different kinds of student mobility options

Introduction to our mobility Options

Study abroad programs are a unique opportunity to students at OP Jindal Global University. These programs have enabled students to enrol in prestigious universities in various global locations such as USA, the UK, Switzerland, Spain, Japan and Malaysia. The study abroad and dual degree opportunities offered by the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) are designed to cater to a wide variety of student interests and preferences in the field of behaviour sciences, psychology and management. The primary aim is to allow students to visit acclaimed universities for credit bearing summer and winter programs (STSAP) or to pursue specialised Dual Degree Programmes. Towards this, partnerships have been formed with nine universities which are offering 23 courses to JIBS students.

These partnerships cover eminent institutions in the UK (including Nottingham Trent University, King’s College London, and the Universities of Essex, Leeds, and Southampton) and Australia (University of Melbourne). The courses offered cover highly specialized areas, such as Forensic Mental Health, Cognitive Development and Disorders, Mental Health Studies, Psychoanalytic Studies, Applied Positive Psychology, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Refugee Care, Cyberpsychology and Management & Organisational Dynamics among others.

If students choose dual degree programs, then they can spend one year at JIBS and second year abroad. The potential benefits include gaining academic credit while obtaining exposure to top ranking universities, their labs, academia and diverse student body. This can become a valuable opportunity in skill development and open many professional pathways.

International Collaborations

The International Collaborations (IC) office at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) works in close partnership with the Office of International Affairs and Global Initiatives (IAGI) at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) to provide a diverse array of study abroad opportunities for our Master’s students.

Among the various opportunities offered, students can participate in dual degree programmes, which allow them to earn degrees from both JGU and a partnering international institution. Semester exchange programmes enable students to spend a semester at a partner university, immersing themselves in a different academic and cultural environment.

JIBS also provides students with the chance to attend short-term summer and winter schools at partner universities. These programs are designed to offer intensive courses, workshops, and cultural experiences that broaden students’ academic horizons and global understanding within a short timeframe.
