Jindal Institute of Behavioral Sciences (JIBS) envisions being a nationally and globally recognized center of excellence that fosters innovation, research, and dissemination of knowledge in behavioural sciences. Mission

Our mission at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences is to promote the development and application of behavioural science research, education, and training for the betterment of society. We are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and problem-solving. Our goal is to produce research that informs policy and practice, and to equip our students with the knowledge and skills to become leaders in the field of behavioral sciences. We are dedicated to providing a range of academic programs that cater to the diverse needs of students, from foundational courses in psychology to specialized training in areas such as mental health, rehabilitation, and forensic studies. We aim to create a supportive and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of our students, researchers, and faculty. We are committed to promoting social responsibility and ethical conduct in all aspects of our work, and to making a positive impact on society through our research, education, and training initiatives.

Objectives

To expand and strengthen interdisciplinary, collaborative research programs between behavioural scientists and other disciplines, including basic science and clinical research.

To assure a cohesive, multidisciplinary, critical mass of behavioural science investigators within well-funded research and training initiatives.

To conduct and apply the best behavioural and social science research and evaluation towards improving people’s lives, with a special emphasis on the underprivileged.

To provide training to school children, parents, principals, governmental officials, non - governmental organizations (NGOs), and universities in various areas of behavioral sciences.

To design and introduce interdisciplinary courses on behavioral sciences for JGU students; JIBS will offer an array of elective courses to the various schools at JGU.
