Prof. Nakul Nayak

Prof. Nakul Nayak is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School. Prior to joining JGLS, Nakul was the Google Public Policy Fellow at the Global Network Initiative (GNI), based out of Washington DC and the leading multi stakeholder body in the Information and Communications Technology sector. At GNI, Nakul worked on cutting edge issues on online freedom of expression, privacy, data protection, among others, from the lens of international human rights.

Nakul has previously held positions at the Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University, Delhi and has consulted with the Internet Freedom Foundation – both of which are research organizations based in India that defend digital rights. He has also clerked at the Delhi High Court and practiced law at the Supreme Court of India. Nakul received his LL.B. from the National Law University, Jodhpur in 2015 and his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2019, graduating as the Class Valedictorian.
