Prof. Sastharam completed B.A. LL.B. from the University of Kerala. After her undergraduate studies, she worked as a Moot Court Trainer at Sree Narayana Guru College of Legal Studies, Kollam while practicing law in the chambers of Advocate, Mr. R. Ram Mohan.
She went on to pursue her LL.M. from the University of Cambridge, pursuant to which she practiced before the High Court of Kerala.
Her research interests include constitutional law, environmental law and policy.
