Biography

Deepayan Malaviya is currently a lecturer at Jindal Global Law School and also pursuing his PhD in Environmental Law from Gujarat National Law University, Gujarat. His research pertains to the study of Prior Informed Consent safeguard laid down by the Basel Convention and its implementation in India specifically focusing on the role of customs and port authorities.

He is also serving as Assistant Dean of the Jindal Global Law School Scholarship Committee. Deepayan has also been a moot court enthusiast and has won, as the runner-up, the prestigious 14th K.K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2018 and has also participated in the 18th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2018
