Centre for Responsible Management, as a part of Jindal Global Business School, is established to create thought leadership in the field of responsible and sustainable management education. The Centre serves as an intellectual hub for inter-disciplinary, high-impact theoretical and applied research. It envisions itself as a Think Tank that develops novel approaches, creates relevant frameworks, and promotes awareness around issues dealing with the social, environmental and economic value of corporations. The Centre aims to develop a community of practice by collaborating and engaging in dialogue with various stakeholders – academics, practitioners, private, public, governmental and non-governmental agencies, and civil society at large.
Responding to a worldwide call to put social responsibility, ethics and sustainability at the top of the agenda for training future business leaders, CRM has come into existence. Through the Centre we would build our capacity for impactful responsible management research. It has been established with a focus on engaging in cutting-edge inter-disciplinary research, and promote awareness about the local and global impact, pertaining to responsible and sustainable management. The Centre intends to research how management education community, in collaboration with other stakeholders, can best support the initiatives of the UN Global Compact and UN Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) that focus on responsible leadership development in order to advance the implementation of the UN sustainable development goals (SDG)s.
