FAQs

1. I am keen to apply for the Business Administration course offered by the University. What forms do I need to submit in order to qualify for the admission? Most importantly, where can I find them?

Click on the Following link https://admissions.jgu.edu.in/. You can apply for either:

  •   BBA (Hons.)
  •   Integrated BBA (Hons.) + MBA
  •   BBA (Hons.)/ Integrated BBA (Hons.)

You will receive an email for verification on your registered email id with a link to apply for the application form. You have to fill all the mandatory fields (with*).

  
2. Do we need Math’s in class 12th to apply for BBA (Hons.) /Integrated BBA (Hons.) + MBA program?

  • Its Preferred but not mandatory

  
3. I am pursuing A Levels for 12th, hence I am currently writing the board exam for the same and would be receiving the grades by August. Is it possible to apply using predicted grades provided by the school?

  • Yes, you can apply with the predicted scores and if selected you will be offered a provisional admission letter. The confirmation of final admission is subject to qualifying minimum 60% (overall) in class 12th.

 

4.When will I get mail for final round or admission letter?

  • For the Final Admission Letter/ Selection you have to follow these steps


Step 1/ Round 1

Student must complete entire application form. After making the Online payment and answering the supplementary questions, student is directed to upload the listed documents separately.

  • Students who have passed class 12th or if the result is not declared yet then your application will be considered on the 10th & 11th aggregate percentage.
  • Under the section of Competitive Exam choose JSAT (Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test) and put status as AWAITED under result status. Details of JSAT along with the sample papers will be shared separately after assessment of the online application.


Step 2/ Round 2

  • Student will appear for any of the competitive entrance exam as mentioned in the application form (SAT/ ACT / UGAT / CUET / JSAT – Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test). We encourage to appear for JSAT exam.


Step 3/ Round 3

  • Personal Interview Round (walk-in/Skype) with the JGBS Faculty.


Selection Process

  • Final admission is granted on overall assessment (Academic score + Entrance exam Score+ Personal Interview Score)

1. Sports scholarship for BBA?

  • As per the University Policy, scholarships are offered only on Academics achievements.

 
2. What is the method to get a scholarship?

  • University offers wide range of scholarships to meritorious students under merit-cum-means basis. Students securing above 80% marks (overall class 12th) are eligible with combined Income Tax Return (ITR) of both parents of less than ₹30 Lakhs per annum. The final decision on the amount of Scholarship amount is decided by the Admissions & Scholarship Committee as per the pre-approved policy.

 
3. How can we submit the form for scholarship?

  • There is no such separate form to apply for scholarship. It is being decided after the complete submission of the scholarship documents i.e. 12th mark sheet and ITR’s of parents for the last 2 financial years.

1.  I have not appeared for any of the Competitive Exam mentioned in step 4 of your application form. Am I Eligible to apply? I do not know how to continue my application?

It is mandatory for a student to appear for a competitive exam. One can choose among

  • JSAT – Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test
  • SAT – Scholastic Assessment Test
  • UGAT – Under Graduate Aptitude Test
  • ACT – American College Testing
  • CUET – Common University Entrance Test

 If you have not appeared for SAT / UGAT / ACT / CUET, we strongly encourage you to select JSAT and put status as AWAITED while filling up the application form.

2. Do I have to give JSAT exam right now or wait until I get result for next round? According to this page, http://www.jgbs.edu.in/selection-process-for-ug/ – I have to wait to see if I clear round 1st or not? If so, please let me know when I will be notified for the same?

  • After the successful completion/ submission of the application form, the committee reviews the supplementary answers and mark sheets. Students found eligible for round 2(Appearing for the Entrance Exam) are notified through e-mail. The steps to apply for JSAT exam will be shared in an e-mail separately.


3. I have yet to take an eligibility exam. Most probably I will take the UGAT exam. I have filled the result section as awaited, is that appropriate?

  • Student can appear through more than 1 competitive exam. If you have applied for UGAT and yet to appear for it, you can select it as awaited. But generally the UGAT results are announced in the month of June. So in order to complete your application in time we suggest that you take up JSAT exam.


4. Where can I apply for JSAT? What is the last date to apply for JSAT for BBA(Hons.)/ Integrated BBA(Hons.) + MBA program?

  • You have to visit Pearson-Vue Website https://home.pearsonvue.com/jsat and create a new Account. After filling your personal details please enter the application no. you have received with your JGBS application form. Choose a nearest Centre based on the location mentioned in the personal details.
  • The JSAT Exam will be available from November’19 and you can choose date and time slot according to the Centre’s availability.

5. I have my JSAT scheduled for tomorrow and have not received the Admit Card until now. How to download the admit card?

  • The payment confirmation e-mail received from JSAT mentioning all the details including venue and time slot, is itself an Admit Card. Take a printout of it along with any Govt. Photo ID proof.

 


6. I’ve filled the application and paid the fee. Now I want to know the topics which will come for the exam? And details about the interview and proper admission process.

  • Once you will be qualified for the Round 2, the Sample papers for JSAT Exam will be shared in a separate e-mail. After the exam if you secure the minimum qualifying score i.e. 50% Accuracy, you will get a confirmation e-mail for the Interview Round.


7. Whether LSAT score is acceptable for BBA (Hons.) program?

  • Yes, we do accept LSAT Scores.

 

8. How can I book a Time Slot for JSAT for the second time?

  • You can attempt JSAT Exam only thrice. The time slot will be available according to the Centre availability.

 

9. When can I get my JSAT results by approximately?

  • Generally, we announce the result within 48 hours after you appear for the exam. Either SELECTED or REJECTED, you will be notified through e-mail or phone for the same. No scores are displayed after the JSAT is over.

 

10. I am facing a problem with the JSAT Payment. Help?

  • You need to have a Credit or Debit Card with an International Payment Option. If you are still unable to make the payment, then kindly contact Ms. Simran 7027850287 for assistance.

1.  What is the deadline for application?

  • Provisional admissions are granted under various admission cycles. For details click  http://www.jgbs.edu.in/important-dates-for-ug/.   The last date to apply for the application form is 31st July 2024 or until seats are available.

 2. What is the Admission process?

  • For the Final Admission Letter/ Selection you have to follow these steps

3. Wanted to check if an option to exit after 3 years with BBA(Hons.) possible if I opt for Integrated BBA(Hons.) +MBA course.

  • No, there is no Exit option after 3 Years in Integrated BBA (Hons.) + MBA Program

 

4. When will I hear for the interview? My JSAT is in the month of January.

  • Once you secure a qualifying score in JSAT exam or any other similar competitive exam you will be informed through e-mail or via phone whether you are selected for the personal interview round or reappear for the examination.

1. What are the subjects required for BBA honors? Is math’s a necessary subject??

  • There is no such specification of subjects which are required. You can apply with any stream i.e. Science, Arts, Commerce. Math’s is not Mandatory but its preferred.

2. What is the difference between BBA General and BBA (HONS.)?

3. I wanted to apply for BBA(Hons.), I chose BBA (Hons.) +MBA by mistake. How do I edit this? I have already paid the fee.

  • The final choice of program can be mentioned at the time of interview

2. When will I get to know if my application form has been selected or rejected?

  • After the successful completion/ submission of the application form, the committee reviews the supplementary answers and mark sheets. Students found eligible for Round 2 (Entrance Exam) are notified through e-mail/ Phone call.

3. How to get applications number?

  • The application Number (Alpha Numeric) gets generated after making the payment of Rs.3000/- towards the application fee. For e.g. JGBS/UG/20/2345

1. What is the BBA(Hons.) program fees per annum?

  • Tuition fees per annum- Rs.4,00,000
  • Hostel Charges- Rs.2,92,500
  • *Accommodation is mandatory as it’s a 100% Residential University. Tuition fees and hostel fees      are paid semester wise. 1 year has 2 semesters.

2.What is the fee structure for Integrated BBA(Hons.) + MBA for 1st

3. Can I get a refund on the application if I no longer wish to continue the admission process?

  • The application form charges of Rs.3000/- is non-refundable.

1. I was completing my application process, and while on the payments page it asked for my card details, I had entered the details along with the OTP twice and still the process claimed to have been stuck on something like 28% and the money I believe has also been deducted twice. Kindly Help me out.

  • If the payment has been deducted and status still shows Pending, in such situation please contact Ms. Vibha Juneja +91 – 74196 13579 / vibha.juneja@jgu.edu.in for assistance.

1. I have won many medals in extra-curricular activities at school level. Do I have to mention them?

  • Yes, mentioning achievements and uploading certificates if you have any, will surely help us to judge your candidature better.

2. My father is working in UAE and an NRI. Am I eligible to apply as NRI?

  • JGU has no separate admission policy for NRI’s/ Foreign Students. All applicants have to follow the same guidelines on eligibility and fees structure.

3. I need to add more details to extracurricular activities but the +MORE button is disabled. Please help?


4. What is the placement conditions in JGU?

  • The Office of Career Services (OCS) helps students sharpen essential skills and align themselves with industry expectations. 5. How can I plan a visit to the Campus? Please suggest me the date?
