The Centre contributes to academic dialogue to shape AI governance globally from India. We published two books setting out the field as a whole, one across technology law and one on artificial intelligence, both written for the practitioners and students who must work with the law as it stands at the cusp of a disruption.

The book sets out the legal questions that artificial intelligence raises for those who must answer them in practice, addressing itself to decision makers, scientists, business leaders and policymakers.
The latest edition of the book extends this account to the European Union’s Artificial Intelligence Act, to the intersection of artificial intelligence with intellectual property, to the arrival of generative AI, and to the bearing of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act on AI systems in India.
