Dr. Gupta is a Professor at the Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and the Dean of Research at the Office of the Dean of Research (Projects, Grants & Publications), O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University).

Dr. Gupta holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, where she graduated with honours and was awarded a certificate for academic excellence. Thereafter, she shifted her academic focus to the field of law, receiving a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Delhi and a Master of Laws from the Católica Global School of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon.
