Dr. Kanika Aggarwal is an economist with specialization in Macroeconomics of development. She obtained her PhD from University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 2020. Her dissertation titled; Intergenerational transfers & human capital investments in children in the era of aging, looked at household decision-making with respect to intergenerational distribution of resources in an aging society. Her research interests include economics of inequality, human capital accumulation, and sustainable development.
She completed her M.A. in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi in the year 2014. Prior to joining Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities she worked with United Nations Development Programme, India as a research consultant and was involved in the analysis and implementation of social protection programmes in India.
